All our Singing Bowls are made in India with 7 metals: gold, silver, mercury, copper, iron, tin and lead. It is the use of 7 metals that gives these bowls their special singing qualities. Singing bowls are used for meditation to reach deeper levels of meditative practice and in healing as the sounds produced are considered to assist in enhance or indeed initiate the healing process. ‘Sound Bath’ treatments are commonly available in many parts of the UK and considered by many participants as a profoundly spiritual and health-giving experience.

How to play

Rest the singing bowl in the palm of the hand; hold smaller bowls on the fingertips. Hold the striker in the middle with all fingertips pointing downwards. Gently tap the striker against the side of the bowl to ‘warm it up’. With an even pressure, rub the striker clockwise around the outside rim of the bowl. Use a full arm movement just like stirring a big pan of soup. Try to keep the striker straight and remember to apply pressure.
